In ‘The South of Colorful Clouds’, CSSC SaisiYi continues to provide three-electric system services for pure electric sightseeing boats operating in Yunnan’s high-altitude lakes!

Following the “Dianchi Harmony” vessel, CSSC SaisiYi has added two more pure electric sightseeing boats to the waters of Lake Dianchi — the 159-passenger “Plateau Pearl No. 1” and the 66-passenger “Plateau Pearl No. 2.”

In the land of “Colorful Clouds of the South,” CSSC SaisiYi makes another appearance, supporting the development of the “Plateau Pearl” series into a nationally recognized water-tourism brand and fully contributing to Kunming’s path toward high-quality cultural and tourism growth.

The “Plateau Pearl” series of sightseeing boats is developed by Yunzhou Cultural Tourism Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kunming Cultural Tourism Group, and constructed by Yunnan Anerke Ship Technology Service Co., Ltd. These vessels are a new generation of pure-electric, new-energy sightseeing boats specially designed for the waters of Lake Dianchi.

The “Plateau Pearl No. 1” has an approved passenger capacity of 159. Its system is equipped with two lithium battery packs, each with a capacity of 838.6 kWh, giving the vessel a total battery capacity of 1,677.2 kWh. Power is integrated through a centralized DC bus variable-frequency electric control system, driving two 150 kW main propulsion motors.

The “Plateau Pearl No. 2” has an approved passenger capacity of 66 and is equipped with two lithium battery packs, each with a capacity of 532.2 kWh, for a total of 1,064.4 kWh. Through the same centralized DC bus frequency-conversion system, it drives two 100 kW main propulsion motors.

The simultaneous launch and delivery of both vessels demonstrates the stability and maturity of CSSC SaisiYi’s three-electric (battery, motor, and electric control) system.

As a landmark example of integrated “navigation + tourism” development on Lake Dianchi, the Plateau Pearl series explores a unified “wetland + port + vessel + landscape” model. It connects key attractions such as the Dianchi lakeside wetlands, Dounan Flower Market, and Dianchi Greenway, building a “point–line–area” tourism route that seamlessly integrates water sightseeing with land-based exploration, promoting high-quality development of Dianchi’s cultural and tourism sector.

Since 2020, CSSC SaisiYi has begun deploying projects in Yunnan. To date, the company has delivered more than 15 electric vessel projects in the region, with total battery capacity nearing 20,000 kWh. These vessels operate across multiple water bodies including Dianchi Lake, Fuxian Lake, the Jinsha River, and Xiluodu Reservoir, earning strong trust and recognition from local shipowners. “Providing reliable power for every voyage” — CSSC SaisiYi continues to work hand-in-hand with customers toward a greener sailing future.

The 2025 China International Maritime Exhibition will be held in Shanghai from December 2–5! CSSC SaisiYi will make a grand appearance with its core technologies for new-energy ship propulsion. Booth number: W4A5A. As an industry benchmark recognized by seven major international classification societies, we look forward to exploring new paths for green maritime development with you. See you there!
