In April 2025, the 3,500-ton full-revolving large crane vessel "Jianshen", equipped with the diesel-electric propulsion system from CSSC Ship Electric Technology Co.,Ltd., was successfully delivered.
Funded by Shanghai Tongsheng Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., designed by Nanjing Ship Design & Research Institute (CPD), and constructed by Global Shipbuilding (Yangzhou) Co., Ltd., this versatile vessel is applicable in a wide range of marine scenarios. In addition to offshore wind installation services, it can also be used for lifting offshore oil and gas drilling platforms, production platforms, large steel box girders for sea-crossing bridges, and overall salvage operations of large vessels.
The vessel measures 186.5 meters in length, 48 meters in breadth, and 15 meters in depth, with a design draft of 10 meters. The power system includes six 2500kW and two 500kW generator sets, which drive two 2500kW main propulsion motors and two 2000kW bow thruster motors, enabling DP-2 class dynamic positioning capability.
The vessel is powered by the S-DE diesel-electric propulsion system from CSSC Ship Electric Technology Co.,Ltd., with key variable frequency and electrical control components developed using the company's independent intellectual property.
During the vessel delivery process, the CSSC Ship Electric Technology Co.,Ltd. project team was highly recognized by both the owner and the shipyard for their outstanding technical expertise.
Contributing to the development of clean offshore energy, CSSC Ship Electric Technology Co.,Ltd. has delivered power systems for over 20 offshore wind installation vessels, with the highest single-vessel power exceeding 18MW. The company has extensive experience in powering wind turbine installation vessels, crane ships, and O&M vessels, and boasts strong technical capabilities and a comprehensive after-sales support system.
