The 2,000-ton scientific research vessel Jiahaike 7, invested and built by Zhuhai Jiahai Marine Technology Co., Ltd., constructed by Guangzhou Salvage Bureau Jiangmen Co., Ltd., and designed by Zhejiang Xinhai Ship Design Institute Co., Ltd., has been successfully delivered.

A New Benchmark in Marine Scientific Research

Designed primarily for offshore geological surveys with capabilities for deep-sea marine scientific exploration, Jiahaike 7 is a comprehensive research vessel equipped for marine geological investigation and study. The project was completed in just 12 months through seamless cooperation among all stakeholders.

Advanced Propulsion & Smart Technology

Equipped with CSSC Ship Electric Technology Co.,Ltd.’s state-of-the-art DC bus electric propulsion system, Jiahaike 7 features:

  • Two 950kW asynchronous generator sets

  • Two 500kW asynchronous generator sets

  • S-Link remote monitoring system

CSSC Sesi’s proprietary DC bus system allows for flexible generator configuration, optimizing energy efficiency while reducing fuel consumption. This system ensures stable, precise, and reliable power supply for the Kongsberg K-Pos DP2 system, which enables high-precision cable laying, underwater target tracking, and automated navigation at various speeds.

Additionally, CSSC Sesi’s S-Link remote monitoring system provides:

  • Remote data tracking

  • Fault diagnostics

  • Technical support

These features offer shipowners enhanced operational efficiency and intelligent service capabilities.
